Choose the Right Baghouse for your Plant

A baghouse serves multiple functions: The baghouse fan draws the heat from the burner down the length of the dryer drum to heat the aggregates, the baghouse filters catch dust and small aggregate particles and return them to the asphalt mix. When paired with a dust silo, the baghouse can be used to remove fine dust particles from some mix designs, and meter fine dust particles into other mixes.

The baghouse also removes airborne dust particles from being dismissed into the environment around the plant. The pulse jet baghouse design is the industry standard.

Most baghouses in modern asphalt plants utilize pulse jets to "pulse" the bags in the baghouse with a blast of compressed air to shake the caked-on dust loose and keep the baghouse drawing a consistent flow of air. Call Chapman Services LLC today.
